HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLLLLLL.
Thank you for everything. Literally… everything. For always being there when I have a downfall, when I’m on the verge of going mad, when I’m lonely, when I’m super happy, when I’m bored, when I need advice, when I need comfort and especially when I need a friend, who is willing to hold my hands to get through any sort of trouble I have.
I’ve always found a way to relate to you in so many different ways and I’ve never realized how that bond has made me so much closer to you. I’ve learned to appreciate and love you for all of the difference you have made in my life. You’ve been my friend since I was 5 (or younger… HOSANNA TIMES) and I’m still really shocked that you’re here by my side taking care of my insanity. People like you are the reason why I can get through another day of living. (I sound nuts.) But seriously, you know how to comfort me in a matter of minutes and you know how you make me laugh in just a few seconds. I know lately I’ve been a trouble and kept bringing the foursies’ mood down, but thank you for always being the first one to reply back on kakao and making me feel like everything will be okay. Thank you for giving me words of wisdom and sticking by my side. I could go on and on about all the great things you have done in my life… but that’s for later… throughout the day. (Get ready for it!)
To everyone else, you might just be Yegina. But to me, see more than that. I see a little girl, wearing her little blue glasses in a little cute dress, waving at me as we run across the fields at Hosanna. I see a girl at tutor, eating pretzels and screaming out all the answers she knew, just to impress Ms. Malkin/ Ms. Lynn. I see a girl, who’s in the fifth grade, demanding that she’d only wear Abercrombie and Fitch and nothing else. I see a girl who spent the summer nights at my house, chatting on aim with some dumb ass kid (a.k) and reassuring that she’s got my back. I see a girl who used to come to my house to search up short videos of “Final Destination” and “SAW”, forcing me to open my eyes to watch it on YouTube with her. I see a girl who made me sing for her on YouTube. I see a girl who went through the same relationship problems that I’ve been through and finding out that we can relate a lot through our relationship problems. I see a girl who grew up in high school realizing that education is important but so are her friends. I see an amazing person who I am so glad to call her my one of my best friends throughout the 17 years of my life.
I honestly don’t even know where I’m going with this anymore but you truly are one of my greatest and best friend. I really just wanted to wish you a BIG and JOYFUL birthday. You deserve it and don’t let anyone destroy that for you. You better have the most amazing and wonderful 17th birthday. I love you with all my heart! Foursies for life. HAPPY DAY OF BIRTH.
